This episode is a brief update. It’s important for me to be honest with you about the struggles I face, no matter how bad things get. I don’t share everything, there are some lines I don’t cross, but for the most part, when it comes to fitness, diet, and medicine, I provide my own experience good or bad.

I am struggling, which is not a new story. I’ve been struggling all year, but today I took a different take. I started the day getting up later and no gym. But I’ve been trying to walk more at work, a good start. While I was walking I thought, “What is the next thing I need to do to get back on track?” Just the next one thing. I thought of my daily routine, and it turns out that eating some oatmeal was the next thing. So that’s what I did.

Then I ate something a couple of hours later, and continued walking.

When I’m eating poorly and worried about it, sometimes I eat nothing at all during the day, then overeat at night. So this multi-meal plan has been important in my health journey. I know it works, and so I know what the next step is.

It’s amazing that the next steps get easier if I just take the first steps. So that’s really all I should be thinking about. What’s next for you?
