Welcome to the 75th episode of our Shattering the Yoyo series, which looks back at episode 103 from December 12th, 2018.
The original title of this episode is, Am I Too Healthy? Spoiler alert: the answer was no. But as I listened to it, I was so impressed by all the positivity along with details of the strategy I was using and some of my daily routine. Granted, I was jacked up on a bodybuilder’s energy drink, but it is still inspiring. And it’s easier to follow a plan when it’s all laid out step-by-step, as I alluded to in the clip.
You really should go back and listen to the entire episode, folks. You can find it easily on YouTube: go to youtube.com/@runningafever and search for episode 103 on the channel. You can also get it on the website at RunningAFEVER.com/103. And if you’re on YouTube, don’t forget to like and subscribe. I want you on the team!
So, I want to go forward and try to ease back into some of the behaviors listed in this episode. I walked twice last week, and I think I can get to three this week. I can’t do the super-long walks, so I’ll do more smaller ones instead. I have some dumbbells, so I can start to work in some strength training, again keeping it slow enough that I don’t hurt myself.
I don’t think I need supplements yet, but if I start working out early, I can just substitute a shake for breakfast. At the time I recorded this, obviously, I was burning a lot of calories and could afford supplements and meals in my diet, but ramping up what I consume has to follow ramping up what I burn. That’s simple math, not some of the complex or what seems to me to be complex stuff I try to do while I’m walking down the trail. Live math! Never a good thing for me.
