Welcome to the 72nd in our series, Shattering the Yoyo. Episode 100 was a lot of fun to do. It’s a real milestone for a podcaster. Years ago, I heard that the average podcast lasted about seven episodes. It is probably even less than that now. So, there’s a sense of accomplishment that goes with sticking with it long enough to see this milestone. Of course, by now, I have over 350 episodes, and I have no intention of stopping. We’ve also been going for over six years now, and things have changed a lot. We lived through COVID and despite the effort put into this series I have been victim to the yo-yo effect, such that now I am near my all-time highest weight, and am trying to get started on the right path back to a healthy weight.

This episode also came at a time toward the end of 2018 when I had achieved real results and was literally in the best physical shape of my life. It was only a little more than I year after I had started the podcast, since at the time I was recording and publishing two episodes per week. It is an inspiration to hear that I can do the right things and I can be at a healthy weight, along with all the benefits that come with that, low blood pressure, feeling energetic, getting around easier. So overall, it’s a motivating factor. I need to keep positive and think about the potential to do well in the future and not think about the failure to do so in the recent past.

It was also a good look at the challenges that can come with just maintaining good health. When I reach a healthy weight, I can focus on good nutrition and maintaining good body composition. There wasn’t much new content in the episode because it was mostly clips from the previous 100 episodes. So this will be short. But play this clip again and listen to the sound of my voice. The energy, the positivity, the hope and determination. This is just the attitude I need to take to get my health journey headed to the right destination.
